2026 Joint Annual Meeting of the Burley & Dark Tobacco Producer Association & Council for Burley Tobacco

The Burley & Dark Tobacco Producer Association and Council for Burley Tobacco will hold their joint Annual Meeting on January 15, 2026, at the Holiday Inn University Placa and Conference Center in Bowling Green, Kentucky. The meeting will begin with registration at 9:00 a.m., Central with the meeting call to order at 9:30.Topics important to the future of tobacco production will be discussed. The program will include updates from Kentucky Commissioner of Agriculture Jonathan Shell, and industry update from Kimberly Foley who is the Executive Director of Tobacco Associates, a discussion of tobacco research objectives with Dr. Ling Yuan and Matt Craft of the Kentucky Tobacco Research & Development Center and more. The afternoon session will be the business session of the two organizations with the election of directors and officers for the coming year.The meeting will once again be held in conjunction with the Kentucky Commodity Conference, so producers are urged to register for the conference and luncheon prior to January 14, especially if you want to attend the Commodity Luncheon where USDA Deputy Secretary of Agriculture Stephen Vaden is the invited speaker.
